Burr Ridge, IL…House Republican Leader Jim Durkin is partnering with the People’s Resource Center in DuPage County in hosting a Winter Clothing Drive.  Items collected will be used to help families in need keep warm this winter.

Donations of new or gently used winter coats, jackets, hats, scarves, boots and gloves will be accepted today through January 15th between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Representative Jim Durkin’s District Office, 16W281 83rd Street, Suite C in Burr Ridge.

Other drop off sites include: Starbucks in the Willowbrook Town Center, 7167 Route 83 in Willowbrook and Starbucks at Burr Ridge Village Center, 515 Village Center Drive in Burr Ridge daily between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 10:00pm.  Look for drop off boxes inside of the stores.

“Coats, hats and gloves are essential this time of year.  If you are cleaning out your closets to make room for new, please consider donating new or gently used items to help others in need.  All sizes will be accepted from infant to adult.  I encourage you to come by my district office to drop off any clothing items you may wish to donate. If you need help bringing in the items, members of my staff will be available to assist you.  Thank you in advance for your generous contributions and a special thanks to Starbucks Willowbrook and Burr Ridge for participating,” said Durkin.

All donated clothing items will be turned over to the People’s Resource Center in DuPage County for distribution to area families.
