The fuzzy math in common core has nothing to do with math at all. It all has to do with stripping the child away from the parents and the family and put them into the hands of the state in order that the state may form their hearts and minds the way they want to, but before they can do this, the parent must be made irrelevant and the state must put on the appearance as being wise. To understand what is happening we need to look at the philosophy of Communism and the liberal mind. Nikita Khrushchev stated that America would never make the violent change from Capitalism to Communism. America, stated Khrushchev, would have to go through the transition period of socialism before becoming communists. “We will bury you!” Khrushchev vowed, “Your children will become Communists!” It is said that at the 1918 Communist Party Education Workers Congress, the Communists proclaimed “We must create out of the younger generation a generation of Communists. We must turn children, who can be shaped like wax, into real, good Communists…. [We must remove the children from the crude influence of their families]. We must take them over and, to speak frankly, nationalize them. From the first days of their lives they will be under the healthy influence of Communist children’s nurseries and schools. There they will grow up to be real Communists.” First I have heard complaints that parents are being ignored at school meetings and that decisions are being made by education authorities regardless of the parents sentiments and concerns. Thus the children are being indirectly removed from the influence of their parents with school decisions regardless of the parents desires. Karl Marx, author of The Communist Manifesto once said “The education of all children, from the moment that they can get along without a mother’s care, shall be in state institutions at state expense.” No doubt you have seen examples of those common core fuzzy math examples and may have been puzzled or mocked them without trying to understand their actual purpose. The common core math actually has nothing to do with math. These math tricks are actually nothing more than attempts to marginalize the parent by the state demonstrating to the child that the parent lacks the intellect to solve these problems. Thus only the wise educators of the state can solve these problems and in time such mental conditioning shifts the child mentality to looking to the state and not the parent for guidance. The infamous socialist agitator Saul Alinsky wrote in Rule No. 5, in his Rules for Radicals, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon” and that is the point of this math. Any common core educator can do this math and understands it, so why don’t you? Simple, because you are too stupid and that’s why the child is better off being left in the hands of the state rather than the parent. You may have attended school meetings in which angry parents launched their concerns while the educators calmly sat and took it all without busting a bead of sweat. They may have quietly refused to answer your questions and then politely & professionally thanked you for comments, questions and concerns. In many cases, you were probably right in your statements and the boards probably did not and still don’t have the answers to your questions. This follows two more of Alinsky’s principles. In Rule No. 2 Alinsky writes, “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. Therefore they never answered your questions and put up a front that they were calm and cool. In rule No. 1 Alinsky wrote “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Their sitting in fine suits, with clean haircuts and dressed in fine silk, suits, shirts and ties in a corporate type setting puts up a front that these folks are important when they are not. However they are not the only problem. There actually are some misguided parents that will agree that putting their children in the hands of bigger government for different reasons is a good and wise thing to do. These folks actually dampen and throw water on the flame of freedom through their ignorance. In 1941 Russians used the term “useful fools” to describe Polish propagandists whom the Russians described as “useful fools and silly enthusiasts” who exercised violence to push a political narrative that they were not totally familiar with. The term has since then been refined as we know today “useful idiots”. Thus, parents are forced into silence not only by an evil system that ignores them but also by a small ignorant army of their own peers that pushes that evil system. There are also some who may argue we need not worry about common core as it only applies to schools where academic performance is an issue but this is false and dangerous concept to accept. One only need watch movies such as the Killing Fields and propaganda movies to see how children, armed in some cases were used as tools to help the Communists come into power. Let us also not forget the Nazi Brown Shirts and Hitler Youth who were used by Hitler to push his socialist reforms. In many such cases, it was the poor children who were exploited and elevated to a higher position by the state to help place new oppressive leaders into power. As for the value of the education itself, I have concluded without looking at it as worthless as the paper that it’s written on. I base this conclusion on Dr. Milgram’s (see Milgram’s NASA biography) who has rejected the common core standards. As for those who would question where an educational system could manipulate the minds of children, I would ask you to look at what happened to the Trump campaign speaking event at UIC. The same student mentality that encourages freedom of speech, expression and tolerance for even those who want to behead us, interrupted a Trump speaking engagement. I also invite the readers to look at those schools and educators who are being threatened with funding cuts due to funding shortages especially in Illinois where tax payers are fleeing at an alarming rate. It has been my observation that they want the people to spread their wealth rather than average their own salaries out and spread their own wealth to pay for new teachers. The French political thinker Alexis de Tocqueville once wrote “Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.” By now you may be asking what the solution is. There is a solution but I can assure it does not lay in any school choice program, speaking engagements where cocktail weenies are served and another group of elitists speak. In the 1960’s radio commentator Paul Harvey said in his If I Were the Devil “I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could, [I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction], I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.” Be aware for now; you can’t hold hands with the devil while walking with Jesus.
