Americans are an unhappy lot, and they’re growing less happy by the year. That’s according to the World Happiness Report (WHR) which is based on Gallup polling and sponsored by United Nations-linked globalist organizations.

America dropped from the 13th-happiest country in 2016 to the 18th-happiest in 2018. The nation saw happiness levels drop significantly in the WHR from 2005-2007 and again from 2013-2015.

So why is everyone so unhappy? The authors of the WHR attribute American unhappiness to income inequality, obesity, the opioid epidemic and a “depression epidemic.” Certainly income inequality, obesity, an opioid epidemic and a depression epidemic all exist. But blaming them for Americans’ unhappiness doesn’t get to the root of the problem.

The root of the problem lies in America’s pursuit and worship of false gods; namely the god of Democracy.

Democracy is an organized system of political, moral and social control. Democracy is not freedom. It is not government by the people and for the people. It is the perfect disguise for benevolent totalitarianism. As such, it’s anathema to Christian-based morality and liberty.

The elites promote democracy, and the people love it because they love evil more than righteousness. We think that most of our readers are gravely concerned about the deterioration of morality in America as reflected in what we see and hear around us. The vast majority of Americans go along with the system. Its social and moral depravity prospers under the cloak of democracy. Democracy is the fallacy of argumentum ad populum writ large.

Government is attacking the individual and family unit in a myriad of ways: through social programs, class warfare and altruism, which is selfless self-denial to the point of literal self-sacrifice for a myth called society, and propaganda.

Social welfare programs are destructive to the individual and the family unit because they absolve the parents of their parental responsibilities and promote dependency on government. There are now “families” that for two or three generations have been wards of the state. Many if not most of them are without a male head of household. They depend upon the state to provide their sustenance, their housing, their transportation, their healthcare and their entertainment. They know nothing of individuality or personal responsibility. Their provider is the state, and the state is their god.

According to a report in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, when people get their basic necessities from government, government becomes their god.

Researchers found that in countries where government services were “better” (what they meant by better was never defined), people were less “religious.” This was true among the studied countries and among states in the U.S. Researchers also discovered that during the period 2008-2013, better government services in the states in a specific year predicted lower religiosity one to two years later.

Most people believe that social welfare programs are designed to help the needy and the downtrodden despite 50 years of evidence that U.S. welfare programs have done just the opposite. In fact, social programs are destructive to the family unit. And this report shows they are destructive to the Church (and by Church I’m referring to the Church established on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, not the Roman Catholic Church).

In a recent report from Social Capital Project, researchers found that 30 percent of kids now born are children of single mothers. That’s a 700 percent increase since 1960. Millions of young men are being raised without a father or single positive adult role model to teach them what it means to be a man. No matter how hard they try or good their intentions, mothers or grandmothers cannot teach young boys how to be men — men who treat women with respect and love and behave as fathers to their children.

Government policies first encouraged women to abandon their primary and God-directed role in raising their children and join the work force, then drove them there through currency debasement and high taxation that combined to drive up the cost of living, making it almost impossible for a one-earner household to survive, much less prosper.

We now see these problems manifesting themselves in a myriad of ways, not the least of which is the increase in harassment and sexual abuse of women and children. The policies and actions of the elites in government and the Hollyweird crowd have destroyed morality and pushed on us a social and moral depravity in the name of love. We have been neutralized with the love syndrome.

After years of promoting such immoralities as “free love” and consequenceless sex through the murder of the soon-to-be-born in the womb; years of demeaning and ridiculing God-based morality; years of support of policies that destroy the family unit and universalism promoted by the organized church, the humanists are “surprised” that some men took them at their word and felt free to act like dogs.

The organized church teaches us to love all people, all things and all evil. Well, this love syndrome is not Christianity. It arises out of an esoteric philosophy intended to subdue us into docility. We are taught to see no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil. This is a seduction to get us to love evil. The more we love evil, the greater the capacity of evil to destroy us. And the more we love evil, the less our capacity of discernment, not knowing good from evil. The more we love evil, the more we pursue evil things. This is our state of mind now. We do not know good from evil, contrary to the plain teaching of scripture. “Follow not that which is evil, but that which is good.” III John verse 11.

When one accepts the social gospel and democracy, he automatically accepts and becomes a humanist. He self-destructs as an individual giving himself over to altruism and group consciousness. Next comes the inability to know right from wrong based on the moral principles of the Bible.

When asked what was the greatest commandment, Jesus told the Pharisees and Sadducees, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.

Believe it or not, a very high percentage of people don’t love themselves, much less God or their neighbors.

How can we tell? Because they are usually selfish. They don’t give to the poor or do for others. They depend on government to provide social services. They are unable to walk in other people’s shoes. Their focus is totally on themselves.

Surveys show that among conservatives and leftists of similar means, conservatives give far more to charity and donate far more of their time to others than leftists. Leftists believe in social welfare far greater than conservatives. Social welfare programs create a belief in the public mind that since our earnings are expropriated by the state and distributed to the “poor,” we have done our duty to the poor when we “pay our taxes.” If this is our attitude, then we are falling short of God’s command to both help the poor and downtrodden and spread the Gospel of Christ. We are not showing a love for our neighbors.

The goal of government is to coerce the people into a regimented, docile and obedient mass under a propaganda system based on altruism and self-sacrifice, and so it seeks to undermine the individual, the family unit and the basic tenets of Christianity. The result is that Christianity still has its name, its churches and its forum, but it no longer has its spirit.

Every human action creates a reaction. Start being conscious of this and you will become excited out of your mind.

Examples: Smile at someone and they will smile back. When someone pulls in front of you, wave at him instead of tooting your horn. Compliment people and they will feel good and like you. Love someone and they will love you back. Do small favors for people and they will respond.

These things cost nothing, but they pay life dividends when you show consideration of the world around you. And they are actions that are obligatory for Christian behavior.

Every negative thing you do and think is reversed in like measure back to you. Every positive thing you do is reversed back to you in like measure.

If you bargain with life for a penny, life will pay no more.

If Christians fulfilled their obligations — individually, through the Church and through various charities (church-based and secular) — there would be no need for government welfare programs and therefore no perceived need for confiscatory plunder to fund these programs. This would not only limit government power and expand individual liberty, it would exalt God above government in the minds of the people.

And people would be much happier.
