Chicago – June 3, 2019 – Total Living Network (TLN) announced that it aired the “Nehemiah Project” special LIVE to its television audience as well as on its streaming/internet outlets on Wednesday May 23, 2019 from 7:30-10:00p CT, and will re-broadcast the dynamic special on June 21st. Over 6,000 were in attendance, including Mayor Lori Lightfoot, civil rights activist Jesse Jackson Sr., Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, Father Michael Pfleger and community activist Andrew Holmes.

The “Nehemiah Project” took place at House of Hope, 752 E. 114th Street in Chicago and was organized by Spencer Leak, Sr., President/CEO of A.R. Leak and recipient of the Chicago Urban League’s 2016 Edwin C. “Bill” Berry Civil Rights Award.

The keynote speaker was Bishop Charles E. Blake, presiding Bishop, Church of God in Christ, Inc. Leak invited popular Gospel singers Fred Hammond and Kierra Sheard, as well as the award-winning Gospel youth group Joshua’s Troop, the Victory Travelers, Walt Whitman & Soul Children, the Thompson Community Choir, 300 Voice COGIC Mass Choir and the Salem Choir to the event.

Through the Nehemiah Project, Leak is addressing the crime and violence in Chicago which have taken close to 200 lives this year so far. The gathering intends to restore the integrity of not just the black community but also the entire city of Chicago.

TLN will re-broadcast the Nehemiah Project on Friday, June 21, 2019 on all of its Chicago-based platforms including XFINITY basic channel 138, Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV at 7:00pm CT  and on TLNWest @ 7:00pm PT. In addition, the special will be added to TLN’s YouTube channel “TotalLivingNetwork1” following the re-broadcast.
