ORLAND PARK, IL — A 17-year-old driver fell victim to a family-style beatdown in Orland Park on Friday, Feb. 19, near 151st Street and Harlem Avenue.
Just before 1 p.m. that day, the teen was driving northbound on Harlem when a Nissan crashed into the side of his car, according to Orland Park police. The Nissan — later found to be driven by a member of the Hamdan family —then blocked the teen’s car, police said. Several people rushed the vehicle.
A third vehicle approached — also occupied by Hamdans — and four people broke into the teen’s car, pulled him into the street, wrestled him to the ground and beat him, police said. The angry quartet continued to punch and kick him until bystanders stopped and tried to intervene, police said.
