Rep. Batinick to Host Seminar on Identity Theft March 21
PLAINFIELD – State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) will host an Identity Theft Prevention Seminar on Tuesday, March 21 at the Troy Township Center from 10:00 A.M. to Noon. The community center is located at 25448 Seil Road in Shorewood. A liaison from the Attorney General’s Office will speak on how to prevent fraud and what to do if you’re a victim. The seminar is free and open to the public. Free refreshments will be provided.
“Illinois has one of the highest rates of identity theft in the country, particularly with seniors being targeted as victims,” Rep. Batinick said. “I have partnered with the Attorney General’s Office in the past to help empower local residents to take steps to protect themselves from falling prey to identity theft and scams. We look forward to bringing this presentation to Shorewood.”
