PRESS RELEASE
Trustee Candidate Sam Giordano wants to Honor all American Veterans by making Frankfort a more Veteran Friendly Village!
Village of Frankfort Trustee Candidate Sam Giordano, wants to initiate a special cooperative program to honor all veterans for their service and sacrifice to our country. Giordano believes that by working with the VFW, American Legion, the Chamber of Commerce, and other Veteran groups, a special program could be launched that would provide a special designation for local businesses who are “Veteran Friendly Establishments.”
Area businesses would be asked to consider offering military veterans a benefit or discount in order to be designated as a veteran-friendly business. The type of benefit offered is at the sole discretion of the business owner and can be something as simple as a discount, priority service, a free gift, or even a designated parking space. In order to let veterans know they can benefit from patronizing these veteran-friendly businesses, a static window cling would be given to participating businesses in Frankfort.

Giordano was inspired with this idea because his Dad, Sam Sr. (1927-1993), was a Sergeant in the United States Army and fought in World War II. According to Giordano, “we need to do more for all our veterans and we should start in our own community!” If elected, Giordano has promised to work alongside his fellow Trustees and the Mayor to make this idea become a reality. Giordano has already consulted with some members of the Soldiers Guardian Angels and the Warriors Watch Riders who have already showed interest in helping this idea to become a reality!

Over the years Giordano has been strongly supported by the Frankfort community as a member of the Fire Service, a local business owner, and member of many civic organizations. Many of Giordano’s supporters have stated he is “A Leader You Can Believe In.” He is now asking for your confidence in his bid for Village Trustee on April 4, 2017.
