Hadley teachers rock the house at Foundation fundraiser
Help raise money to send HJH students to Carnegie Hall

It was a night to remember as Hadley Middle School teachers Joe Cernak and Kenton Brace took center stage Friday (March 24) to help send 18 students to New York for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The teachers teamed up with the Future Ready Student Foundation to raise money for the students who were selected to perform at Carnegie Hall this summer.

More than 200 teachers, students, parents and staff members attended the fundraiser at Embers Tap House, raising $4,550 for the students’ travel expenses.

The students were selected to perform at Carnegie Hall after being nominated by their choral director, Diane Pullara, and completing an individual audition and selection process.

They will head to New York on June 22 to participate in the Middle School Honors Performance Series, which will culminate with a performance at Carnegie Hall on June 25.

In the meantime, the Foundation is organizing a variety of fundraisers to help pay for their trip.

At Friday’s fundraiser, Cernak and Brace provided the musical entertainment while the Foundation organized a series of live and silent auctions as well as fun raffle games. If you missed it, you can view a clip of their performance here.
