Current stage of construction: STAGE 1
Project is currently in stage 1 constructing 2 new 12’ wide eastbound lanes. Vehicles are currently
shifted to the north on temporary lanes.
Current Work Activities
Installing storm sewer
– 70% complete for Stage 1
– Estimated completion October 2017
Installing embankment and sub-base
– 40% complete for Stage 1
– Estimated completion October 2017
Installing buried slabs
– 55% complete for Stage 1
– Estimated completion November 2017
Paving 159th Street and side streets
– 0% complete for Stage 1
– Estimated completion December 2017 (This may only be partial completion)
It currently looks like the eastbound Stage 1 paving will begin in October. It is uncertain at this time if
this will be completed before winter shutdown.
Primary delays to 60L71 were utility relocations that were complete in January 2017. There have been
no significant delays since then with the exception of 2 weeks for the State budget shutdown.
Current Project Schedule
– Current completion date is end of December 2018 assuming a 4 month winter shutdown for
the coming winter. It is very probable that the job will extend in to 2019.
Next 3 weeks work activity
– Continue forming and pouring buried slabs
– Continue storm sewer installation including night work
– Continue embankment and sub-base construction
– Begin electrical work
