HOMER GLEN, IL — The Will County Division of Transportion will hold an open house meeting for proposed improvements to 143rd Street on Tuesday, March 12 in Lemont. The meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Crystal Grand Banquets, 12416 S. Archer Ave.

The project is in the preliminary engineerying phase, the village said. The proposed roadway improvements would be along 143rd Street from Lemont Road to Bell Road. The first segment of this project is tentatively planned for construction in 2020.

According to the village, the proposed improvement generally consists of widening and reconstructing from one lane in each direction to two 12′ wide through lanes in each direction separated by a 16′ wide mountable median with 10′ flat areas at back of curb.
