The Supervisor said the Township garage sale “Junk in the Trunk” must make a profit.
The Discussion of the Event Center at the Trantina Farm will move to the next phase hiring a professional for site planning and grants to look at what is needed to build a center for Weddings, Rentals, Meetings, etc. as a will be a profit center. They want this to help support Open Space into the Future.
There is no discussion of the cost of maintenance, and management. There is no discussion of a tax to pay for the management and maintenance, nor a discussion of Bonding. There is no mention to this event center being in direct competition to every Restaurant, Bar, and Banquet Hall in the area. There are some very negative consequences involved with the Township getting into a for Profit Business competing with business’s that pay taxes.
