| Friends, House Democrats kicked off their impeachment inquiry into President Trump this morning. The House is a majority-rules body, which means Democrats can run this show like autocrats – a style of “leadership” Illinoisans have become all to familiar with under Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan. As a result, these hearings are an abuse of power. My opponent Sean Casten called for impeachment before the Mueller report was even out, before the Ukraine transcript was public. He is not interested in evidence. He is not interested in due process. He is a bitter partisan who is hyper focused on undoing election results he doesn’t like. Like Madigan, Pritzker and Illinois Democrats, Casten has proven he has no workable ideas for the people of Illinois. The good news is we can turn this around.
