At the meeting, my wife Betty spoke out about vile and disgusting letters that have been sent to her and others. These letters began to arrive after I came to her defense at a December board meeting following robocalls that attacked her, Heather Milani and the Milani children. At the previous board meeting, the village board passed a resolution to demand that the Illinois Attorney General and the FCC enforce robocall laws. Shortly after that meeting another letter was sent to Betty’s place of employment. After much discussion, Betty decided to speak at this week’s board meeting. She showed incredible courage to come forward with this and confront the anonymous bully. Given the information we have, this is likely the same vile person who has been making the harassing robocalls. I am extremely proud of her.
