One update is that we now have 5 cases locally. This is expected to grow and not surprising. As more testing becomes available and the symptoms begin to appear, we can expect increases for the next few weeks.
The big news from today was that the governor matched the deadline extension for IL taxes. This was practical and expected as you can’t do the IL taxes without the Federal taxes being complete.
Additionally, on the local front I supported a neighboring mayor who worked to allow golf courses to open. Thank you to the governor and his staff for working on this to establish common sense guidlines to allow this to happen. Now many people can get out of the house, get fresh air and exercise as recommended by physicians while maintaining the social distancing required.
