Neitzke Troike is the Village of Homer Glen Clerk. She came up with some very good ideas to help the citizens of the Village and the people who live here. The Idea that seemed to stick out was Homer Bucks.

The Village would give each house in Homer Glen a $25 Homer Buck only good at participating Homer Restaurants, Bars, Salons, Hair Cut places, basically small business’s that have been shutdown for around 3 months.

This is a win-win for people that may be struggling and small business’s that are struggling. This influx of cash would go along way to bringing life back to the Village.

Neitzke Troike would like to do this in June and again in July. She also talks about pro-rating license fees and possibly waving the fee for 2021. She did not say where the money would come from, I see no reason they could’t use the money designated for Heritage Park this year. The Village could stop all projects at Heritage Park with a plan of starting again in 2021. Business and people need help now more than an expanded park.
