The Will County Health Department & Community Health Center Executive Director, Susan Olenek, MA, PHR, issued a ridiculous message to the general public to state, “We Need Your Help!” aimed at citizens to call their “coronavirus hotline and report non-compliant businesses and be a part of the solution to stop the spread of COVID-19”. The message also stated, “…call and report businesses who are not complying with the state’s current COVID-19 mitigations for Region 7”.
Since we live in a country that is founded on the 5th Amendment – Right to Due Process, will these tattle tellers appear as witnesses, or is the Health Department encouraging false witnessing? What recourses will our business owners and their employees have against any lies and exaggerators without proof of a violation? Evidence should be gathered by duly appointed officials who shall appear before a court to give testimony.

Telling on people without due process is a tactic used by Communist China, North Korea, and Russia. This is America, not some third world banana republic. You have the constitutional right to face your accusers in open court. To fine or punish a person or business goes directly against this principle.
On Friday, September 11th, a day forever etched into our history, at 11:30 a.m., Will County Republican candidates will hold a press conference in front of the Will County Courthouse located at 14 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60432
Current Will County Board Democrats have gone along with the deception to keep Will County from opening up correctly and safely. This is no way to govern a free society.
