Balich, Over the last few weeks, our campaign has been building on positive momentum starting with being endorsed by the Chicago FOP, receiving the Chicago Tribune’s endorsement, then seeing poll numbers showing we are right in this fight, and just last week, we had a winning debate over Marie Newman during the League of Women Voters forum. This morning, my team and I sent out a press release calling for Marie Newman to publicly reject the extreme defund the police movement. The hard-working residents of our 3rd Congressional District support the police and their efforts to keep us safe. Defunding the police will make our neighborhoods more dangerous for our families, small businesses, and seniors. Under my watch, I will not let our valued police be defunded. Marie Newman knows that our support is growing exponentially which is why our Cool Cars & Conversations event next Thursday at GL Quality in Lockport is so important.
