Jeanne Ives Has Casten On the Ropes After WGN Debate
October 12, 2020 – On Friday night, Sean Casten proved he is a glutton for punishment when he met Jeanne Ives for a second debate moderated by WGN Hosts, Tahman Bradley and Paul Lisnek.
Ives demonstrated a superior command of public policy on healthcare, taxes and budget and energy. While Sean Casten proved – once again – that when he can’t make an argument he quickly resorts to name-calling.
Casten reminded voters that he believes he and his cronies in government know better than you what’s best for your life, and confirmed that he was indeed a lobbyist who secured millions in taxpayer funded subsidies for his own business. Ives reminded voters that she trusts her neighbors in the Sixth District to make their own decisions.
Sean Casten told voters that if he had $250 million to spend in his District – which has hundreds of small businesses trying to recover from the COVID shut down and thousands of people still on unemployment – he would spend it in another district on a particle accelerator. Jeanne Ives said she would invest in infrastructure projects that would benefit all residents of IL-06.
It has never been more clear how critical it is to defeat Sean Casten and return common-sense to Washington.
