Miss Constitution Analyzes. . . Day 36 of the Presidential Election Crisis
A Novel Solution. . . War. . . Supreme Court Solution
After many years of compromises and passionate speeches on the Senate floor and westward expansion and new territory won by the United States in war became clear that no conversation could be had between citizens of the North and citizens of the South. Abraham Lincoln received not one vote in the South. The North felt is had moral superiority and so did the South. The same pleas for some middle ground and bipartisanship were heard 200 years ago as they are heard today. Miss Constitution has concluded that the result will be the same. One-half of the American people think one way and the other half thinks the exact opposite. There is not one meaningful political position shared by both. This election of 2020 will have the same result as the election of Lincoln in 1860. For many of you Miss Constitution knows that however hard you have tried to have conversations or dialogue with your opposite it has only resulted in removing yourself from that person. For some it is members of your family; for others it is colleagues at work; for others it is longtime friends. One side is going to be proved correct in its analysis and the other is going to be proved incorrect. The problem is that the results for the country of one side winning versus the other is dramatic in the extreme. What Miss Constitution is saying is that we are at an impasse. In 1860, the one person who was capable of negotiating an answer was Abraham Lincoln himself. The South wanted nothing to do with him. Who is that person today? Miss Constitution thinks it is possible that the Supreme Court could be that entity. The Constitution of the United States gives power to the States every four years to conduct a hybrid election and then Congress certifies the electoral votes, and a President is declared. If still contested, Congress becomes involved and selects a President. While this has happened in our history, Miss Constitution does not think one-half of the country will accept the traditional Constitutional solution. We just endured a novel virus; we need a novel solution to this election crisis, as well.
The context of the 2020 election internationally is important. The head of the FBI, Christopher Wray, has just announced that the agency has to begin a counter-intelligence operation against a Chinese agent in America every ten seconds. He announced that his agency cannot keep track of all the Chinese agents in the country. California Representative Swalwell was compromised by a Chinese spy who returned to her country. A Chinese intern was placed by this spy in his office. Senator Dianne Feinstein had the same problem. Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia, wants Chinese commerce coming through his port and we do not know what he has done to assure it. Money is thrown at Colleges and Universities to allow Chinese research assistants access to medical and scientific research. Cultural exchanges are little more than spy operations. The Biden family is accused of a conflict of interest with Chinese money supporting a Biden son so that access can be obtained to the father. Corporate heads are addicted to cheap labor in China even if it is slave or child labor. So profitable is Chinese trade that the loss of trade secrets so important to our country are willingly given away. Chinese money is funneled into every election, state and national, and into every pocket of every elite American that the Chinese can secure. A video was just released but not taken down that shows a Chinese professor telling a huge audience to their delight that the core political elite of America have been compromised. Miss Constitution thinks the virus from Wuhan was released deliberately to create the chaos it has created to influence our national election for President. This is an act of War. Stealing our technology and our industrial secrets; paying for expensive campaigns of dishonest politicians; buying research from our schools to be used to copy and undersell our products; spying on our elected Representatives’ offices; buying Governors and Mayors; complaining racism when caught; these are all indications of the thoroughness and the dedication of the Chinese Communist Party. If in doubt, ask the people of Hong Kong and the jailed Jimmy Lai about what the Chinese are doing.
We cannot go back and correct the poor decision-making of the past. We let China into the World Trad Organization. We did not force them to comply with the rules. They are methodically destroying the United States. The last thing we need is a Civil War here. Miss Constitution hopes the Supreme Court will agree to take the Texas case and will use their brilliant minds to fashion a solution all can accept. A one-day monitored election in the contested states is but one idea. I am sure there are others, as well. Otherwise. . .
