The current state of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is absolutely unacceptable. Over 300,000 veterans died waiting for care. Corruption and incompetence were excused. Politicians in Washington have done too little too slowly to fix it. This situation can never happen again, and when Donald J. Trump is president, it will be fixed – fast.5
The guiding principle of the Trump plan is ensuring veterans have convenient access to the best quality care. To further this principle, the Trump plan will decrease wait times, improve healthcare outcomes, and facilitate a seamless transition from service into civilian life.
The Trump Plan Will:

  1. Ensure our veterans get the care they need wherever and whenever they need it. No more long drives. No more waiting for backlogs. No more excessive red tape. Just the care and support they earned with their service to our country.
  2. Support the whole veteran, not just their physical health care, but also by addressing their invisible wounds, investing in our service members’ post-active duty success, transforming the VA to meet the needs of 21st century service members, and better meeting the needs of our female veterans.
  3. Make the VA great again by firing the corrupt and incompetent VA executives who let our veterans down, by modernizing the VA, and by empowering the doctors and nurses to ensure our veterans receive the best care available in a timely manner.

The Trump Plan Gives Veterans The Freedom To Choose And Forces The VA To Compete For Their Dollars
Politicians in Washington have tried to fix the VA by holding hearings and blindly throwing money at the problem. None of it has worked. In fact, wait times were 50% higher this summer than they were a year ago. That’s because the VA lacks the right leadership and management. It’s time we stop trusting Washington politicians to fix the problems and empower our veterans to vote with their feet.
Under a Trump Administration, all veterans eligible for VA health care can bring their veteran’s ID card to any doctor or care facility that accepts Medicare to get the care they need immediately. Our veterans have earned the freedom to choose better or more convenient care from the doctor and facility of their choice. The power to choose will stop the wait time backlogs and force the VA to improve and compete if the department wants to keep receiving veterans’ healthcare dollars. The VA will become more responsive to veterans, develop more efficient systems, and improve the quality of care because it will have no other choice.
The Trump Plan Treats The Whole Veteran
We must care for the whole veteran, not just their physical health. We must recognize that today’s veterans have very different needs than those of the Greatest Generation.
The Trump Plan Will:

  1. Increase funding for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury and suicide prevention services to address our veterans’ invisible wounds. Service members are five times more likely to develop depression than civilians. They are almost fifteen times more likely to develop PTSD than civilians. This funding will help provide more and better counseling and care. More funding will also support research on best practices and state of the art treatments to keep our veterans alive, healthy and whole. With these steps, the Trump plan will help the veteran community put the unnecessary stigma surrounding mental health behind them and instead encourage acceptance and treatment in our greater society.
  2. Increase funding for job training and placement services (including incentives for companies hiring veterans), educational support and business loans. All Americans agree that we must do everything we can to help put our service men and women on a path to success as they leave active duty by collaborating with the many successful non-profit organizations that are already helping. Service members have learned valuable skills in the military but many need help understanding how to apply those skills in civilian life. Others know how to apply those skills but need help connecting with good jobs to support their families. Still others have an entrepreneurial spirit and are ready to start creating jobs and growing the economy. The Trump plan will strengthen existing programs or replace them with more effective ones to address these needs and to get our veterans working.
  3. Transform the VA to meet the needs of 21st century service members. Today’s veterans have very different needs than those of the generations that came before them. The VA must adapt to meet the needs of this generation of younger, more diverse veterans. The Trump plan will expand VA services for female veterans and ensure the VA is providing the right support for this new generation of veterans.
  4. Better support our women veterans. The fact that many VA hospitals don’t permanently staff OBGYN doctors shows an utter lack of respect for the growing number female veterans. Under the Trump plan, every VA hospital in the country will be fully equipped with OBGYN and other women’s health services. In addition, women veterans can always choose a different OBGYN in their community using their veteran’s ID card.

The Trump Plan Will Make The VA Great Again
The VA health care program is a disaster. Some candidates want to get rid of it, but our veterans need the VA to be there for them and their families. That’s why the Trump plan will:

  1. Fire the corrupt and incompetent VA executives that let our veterans down. Under a Trump Administration, there will be no job security for VA executives that enabled or overlooked corruption and incompetence. They’re fired. New leadership will focus the VA staff on delivering timely, top quality care and other services to our nation’s veterans. Under a Trump Administration, exposing and addressing the VA’s inefficiencies and shortcomings will be rewarded, not punished.
  2. End waste, fraud and abuse at the VA. The Trump plan will ensure the VA is spending its dollars wisely to provide the greatest impact for veterans and hold administrators accountable for irresponsible spending and abuse. The days of $6.3 million for statues and fountains at VA facilities and $300,000 for a manager to move 140 miles are over. The Trump plan will clean up the VA’s finances so the current VA budget provides more and better care than it does now.
  3. Modernize the VA. A VA with 20th century technology cannot serve 21st century service members and their needs. The VA has been promising to modernize for years without real results. The Trump plan will make it happen by accelerating and expanding investments in state of the art technology to deliver best-in-class care quickly and effectively. All veterans should be able to conveniently schedule appointments, communicate with their doctors, and view accurate wait times with the push of a button.
  4. Empower the caregivers to ensure our veterans receive quality care quickly. Caregivers should be able to easily streamline treatment plans across departments and utilize telehealth tools to better serve their patients. As we have seen from the private sector, the potential for new, innovative technology is endless. Abandoning the wasteful and archaic mindset of the public sector will give way to tremendously effective veteran healthcare.
  5. Hire more veterans to care for veterans. The more veterans we have working at the VA, the better the VA will be. They understand the unique challenges facing their community. To increase the number of veterans hired by the VA, this plan will add an additional 5 points to the qualifying scores of veterans applying for VA jobs.
  6. Embed satellite VA clinics in rural and other underserved areas. The Trump Administration will embed satellite VA clinics within hospitals and other care facilities in rural and other underserved areas. This step will ensure veterans have easy access to care and local hospitals and care facilities can handle the influx of patients without backlogs while tapping the specialized knowledge of VA health specialists.

The Truth about Cops

David A. Lombardo  10/31/201555ea8dc0-7f7a-4c36-b6fd-48d9b3a2e377-medium
It’s become popular among effete liberal journalists to pick apart every interaction police have with blacks. It has become so formulaic that I had to laugh when one journalist called a cop racist for his rough-and-tumble arrest of a young, black male who had assaulted someone; the cop was also black.
Armchair quarterbacks of all flavors, be it law enforcement or football, typically share one thing in common: they’ve never actually done it themselves. They are voyeurs. They wax eloquent on what the cop did wrong with absolutely no grounds upon which to draw a conclusion. Watching a cop fighting with someone during an arrest is almost always out of context.
Now before I completely launch into a rant about this, I readily admit there are bad cops in the world. Similarly there are bad doctors, attorneys, teachers and practitioners of every other profession. Sometimes cops do cross the line, and they should be held accountable when that happens. But in an effort to fill white space, journalists rush to judgment with little or no facts so they can turn in a story ahead of the competition. This is primarily due to the fact that today’s journalists tend to be liberal hacks purveying sensationalism to make a name for themselves rather than actually doing the hard research and work associated with good journalism-think Geraldo Rivera.
Let’s look at a few simple facts. The truth of the matter is the overwhelming majority of law enforcement officers are good people trying to maintain a safe, civil society. Cops, just like anyone else, want to go home at the end of the day, be with their families and lead normal lives. Unlike anyone else, cops and other emergency service responders are constantly exposed to the potential for getting killed during a normal workday and, lately, for being ambushed.
Make no mistake: the number of ambushes of police officers has clearly risen over the past few years to about 250 incidents per year between 2008 and 2013, up from about 200 per year during the previous 10-year period, according to a Justice Department study.
Another fact that seems to be overlooked is once a cop is involved in a situation, the situation has to be resolved, period. A cop can’t just ignore the problem and go away. If the subject escalates the situation, the cop must escalate the response. At some point you cross a threshold, and you’re going to jail. A cop doesn’t walk into a classroom, arbitrarily grab a student, drag them out of a chair and take them to jail. You have to see the context of the situation. Saying that the cop should have done something other than what he did ignores the reality that every situation evolves differently and a cop is always forced to respond to a changing condition. They do the best they can given the situation as it unfolds.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel recently said in a press conference that Chicago cops are “going fetal,” meaning they’re laying back rather than doing their jobs. Emanuel said, “Officers themselves are telling me about how the news over the last 15 months impacted their instincts: Do they stop or do they keep driving? When I stop here, is it going to be my career on the line? And that’s an honest conversation. And all of us who want officers to be proactive, to be able to do community policing in a proactive way, have to encourage them, so it’s not their job on the line or that judgment call all the time that if they stop, this could be a career-ender.”
In my almost 20 year association with law enforcement, I worked with a lot of cops. No two were alike; they had their own quirks, prejudices and philosophies just like anyone else, but there are two truisms that stand out over all those years. The first is I never heard any cop say, “Let’s go violate that guy’s civil rights,” or, for that matter, intentionally do anything that they thought was a violation of someone’s civil rights. There were occasional unintended mistakes, but not once can I recall anyone intentionally doing something wrong.
And the second truism is that even the biggest slacker I ever worked with never held back when something bad went down. Despite the fact that legally law enforcement officers have no obligation to put themselves intentionally into harm’s way, I never once saw a cop that didn’t rush to the aid of a civilian in trouble or back up another cop in a dicey situation. The one common denominator of virtually all law enforcement officers is they’re sheep dogs. They are by nature protectors, a fact borne out by the large number of applicants for law enforcement job openings despite some segments of society pinning a target on their backs. If you don’t like cops, just think about a world where no one responds when you need help.

Police CHIEF'S CONVENTION A GUN-CONTROL CIRCUS

INFORMATION ALERT – CHIEF’S CONVENTION A GUN-CONTROL CIRCUS
The rabidly anti-gun International Association of Chiefs of Police rolled into Chicago this past weekend to hold its annual convention at McCormick Place. With the bloodstained streets of the South Side as a backdrop, the Chiefs attacked lawful gun owners, vilified the NRA, and called for the end of civilian firearm ownership as we know it.
As one would expect, Chicago’s cartoon-character police superintendent Garry McCarthy delivered the welcoming address to those in attendance. While doing so, McCarthy made clear his fervent belief that the state’s lawful firearm owners were at the root of Chicago’s violent crime problem. McCarthy emphatically asserted that regular citizens, such as dentists, lawyers and accountants living in Naperville, must be relieved of their firearms so that drug lords in Chicago will stop shooting one another. One need not have a very cynical eye to recognize that McCarthy’s fixation on civilian disarmament serves as a mere distraction from the real problem – woeful mismanagement of Chicago’s police department.
For many years, the Chicago Police Department’s Detective Bureau published an annual report analyzing numerous factors impacting the city’s homicide rate. Publication of the homicide report was an unusually transparent endeavor for a Chicago governmental agency. Available to the general public, the homicide report chronicled the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Chicago Police Department’s crime fighting efforts. The report also provided facts to support effective rebuttals to assertions made by the gun control movement. Publication of the annual homicide report ceased after the 2011 edition. Coincidently, 2011 was the year that Gerry McCarthy became the Chicago Police Department’s Superintendent.
Tidbits taken from the 2011 Chicago Murder Analysis paint a picture that does little to support disarming law-abiding Illinois citizens:
  • Chicago has 25 police precincts – 8 of them account for about 67% of the murders committed in 2011
  • A full 68% of Chicago’s murders in 2011 happened in streets or alleyways
  • In 1991, 67% of the murders that year resulted in arrest and prosecution. In 2011, only 30% of the murders committed that year resulted in arrest and prosecution
  • Of the 312 murders committed in Chicago in 2011 where a motive could be determined, 51% were incidental to gang or narcotics activities
  • Of the 433 people murdered in Chicago in 2011, 75.3% were Black, 18.9% were Hispanic, 4.6% White, and 1.4% Asian or other race
  • In instances where the race of murder offenders could be determined, 70.5% were Black, 24.3 were Hispanic and 3.5% were White
  • 77% of Chicago’s murder victims in 2011 had previous arrest records
  • 87.3% of murder offenders in 2011 had previous arrest records
  • Of the 433 murders occurring in Chicago in 2011, 362 were committed with a firearm – 351 utilizing a handgun; 1 utilizing a rifle; 5 utilizing a shotgun and; 5 of unknown type
  • 42% of murders take place between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM
Based on Chicago’s 2011 murder statistics, there’s a good chance that you’ll either commit a murder or become a victim of a murder if you are a young adult male night-owl gang member with a previous criminal record who hangs out on the streets of certain police precincts. Otherwise, you’ll probably live a long and uneventful life. But, if you do get killed in Chicago, there’s a 70% chance that the person who killed you will never face justice.
Of course, these statistics are from 2011 and, since these statistics are no longer published, we have absolutely no idea if the McCarthy regime has at all quelled the criminal blood lust on Chicago’s south and west sides. Yet, we suspect things haven’t gotten any better since McCarthy took office.
One thing that hasn’t changed since 2011 is the abject hatred Chicago officials hold for lawful gun owners. The post-Daley years have seen no let-up in the city’s concerted effort to eliminate private firearm ownership. Their very own facts notwithstanding, Chicago city officials lay the blame for criminal and gangland violence on law-abiding citizens who wish to do nothing more than exercise their constitutional rights free of interference from sawed-off dictators like Rahm Emanuel.
Joining McCarthy in last week’s orgy of gun hatred was Barack Obama. In his address to the Chiefs, Obama cynically tried to allay the fears of gun owners by saying that he was not going to take anyone’s guns away. However, in his next breath, Obama pushed the Chiefs to support legislation that would ban better than 80% of the firearms now in civilian hands.
When on friendly turf such as the Chiefs’ convention, gun grabbers like McCarthy and Obama lose their inhibitions and speak freely of their plans to punish citizens who dare to own firearms. After listening to the addresses made at the Chiefs, it should be clear to all gun owners that Obama and his ilk have no respect for our Constitution and the liberties it is designed to protect.
As a gun owner, the only way to survive is for you want to keep your guns more than the gun-grabbers want to take them away. That means that all gun owners will have to put more effort into protecting the 2nd Amendment – at all levels – than the gun-haters put into destroying our heritage. Only you can protect your gun rights. So, get involved, get vocal, get in the faces of the gun controllers. Force them to back down – force them to abandon their morally-bankrupt campaign for domestic disarmament.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall

Charley Reese’s Final column!

545 people are responsible for the mess, but they unite in a common con

February 3, 1984|By Charley Reese
(This column was originally published in the Orlando Sentinel on Feb. 3, 1984.)kick the can
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don’t have the constitutional authority to vote n appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code. The Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy. the Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices – 545 human beings out of 238 million- are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.4323f749-f687-481a-bf49-246622218f15
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Bank because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.
I exclude all of the special interest and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it.
No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Don’t you see now the con game that is played on the people by the politicians? Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. they cooperate in this common con regardless of party.Easy Score
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of Tip O’Neill, who stood up and criticized Ronald Reagan for creating deficits.
The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept. it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating appropriations and taxes. O’Neill is speaker of the House. He is the leader of the majority party. He and his fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto.
Just 545 Americans have fouled up this great nation.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 235 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted – by present facts – of incompetence and irresponsibility.
I can’t think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense overruns, that is not traceable directly to those people.
When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise complete power over the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.stock-photo-blue-hand-made-baby-booties-on-some-american-money-isolated-on-white-cost-of-raising-a-child-81257542
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in Lebanon, it’s because they want them in Lebanon.
There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take it.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical force like “the economy,” “inflation” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people and they alone are responsible. They and they alone have the power. they and they alone should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses – provided they have the gumption to manage their own employees.

First Wave of Obama Administration’s Mass Prison Release

Law Enforcement Warns of Dire Consequences That Will Follow the First Wave of Obama Administration’s Mass Prison Release

Law enforcement officials are very concerned about the 6,000 federal inmates set to be released Friday — the first wave in a larger plan that will ultimately free 46,000 convicts.
The sentencing reductions were decided by the U.S. Sentencing Commission in 2014, but the commission’s decision came amid a political push to reduce the prison population.

“For the far-right, it’s about dollar signs; for the far-left, it’s the view that incarceration is unjust,” Don Mihalek, legislative director for Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, told TheBlaze.
The first wave of releases comes as President Barack Obama — backed by a bipartisan coalition in Congress — is pushing for major criminal justice reform. The Senate Judiciary Committee recently sent a bill to the full Senate to scale back mandatory minimums.
The U.S. Sentencing Commission voted last year to reduce the sentencing guidelines levels for federal drug-trafficking offenders retroactively. The commission also cited reports that the Federal Bureau of Prisons population exceeds capacity by around 32 percent.
“The Sentencing Commission approved these reductions with a broad brush by studying policy papers and not looking at any individual cases,” Mihalek told TheBlaze. “We are just transferring a federal problem. This is just going to be a problem for state and local law enforcement. This is a dangerous path with dangerous people during a documented crime wave.”
According to the commission, 46,290 offenders will be eligible to have their sentences reduced, with potential average reductions of 25 months, or 18.8 percent.
Proponents of the reduced sentences contend this is a matter of letting non-violent offenders be released from long prison sentences.
This isn’t the first sentence-reduction decision by the U.S. Sentencing Commission. In 2007, the commission allowed 16,511 convicted crack dealers to have reduced sentences. And in 2010, Congress reduced penalties for trafficking crack cocaine. The Sentencing Commission followed by reducing sentences for another 7,748.
“Really, is there anybody out there who thinks drug trafficking is non-violent? That’s silly talk,” Steve Cook, president of the National Association of Assistant U.S. Attorneys, told TheBlaze. “Drugs wreak havoc on society, and we are in an opioid and heroin crisis now.”
Cook, an assistant U.S. attorney in Tennessee, said there are a number of myths propping up the argument in favor of releases, adding that mandatory minimums have driven down the crime rate and served as a deterrent, which has kept the prison population low over the long term.
Cook believes the most ridiculous myth is that drug users – rather than traffickers – are getting long prison sentences.
“I have no idea how anybody has been able to successfully spin that myth,” Cook said. “Look at the federal sentencing statistics, and you’ll see that less than 1 percent are in prison for drug possession.”

Homer Glen considering village gasoline tax

Homer Glen considering village gasoline tax

Michelle MullinsDaily Southtown
Tax of 3 cents per gallon would raise an estimated $900,000 annually
The Homer Glen Village Board is considering implementing a local gasoline tax of 3 cents per gallon to raise about $900,000 per year to help pay for developing new parks, improving existing ones and acquiring parkland.
Each year, about 30 million gallons of gas are delivered to the seven gas stations in the village, according to John Sawyers, the village’s finance director. He said the gas tax would be on the delivery of gas and not its sale.
Sawyers said about 70 percent of motorists filling up at Homer Glen stations are from other towns, meaning the gas tax would be paid mostly by outside residents.
“It’s truly a pass-through tax,” he said.

With the state of Illinois threatening to reduce the share of state income tax revenue it sends to municipalities, Mayor George Yukich said a gas tax would be a preferable revenue source to imposing a village property tax.
Homer Glen’s parks and recreation fund gets money from required developer donations and grants. A major park project is underway in changing the 103-acre former Woodbine golf course into a village park that would have sports fields, trails, ponds and picnic areas.
The village is looking to hire a planning firm to create a master plan for the park and work in conjunction with H.R. Green, an engineering firm that’s looking at ways to prevent flooding in the neighborhoods near Woodbine.
The Village Board plans to vote on the gas tax in November, and, if approved, it will take effect Dec. 1 or Jan. 1.
Also at this week’s board meeting, trustees approved a design for the new Village Hall. Homer Glen is converting the former Woodbine banquet hall and clubhouse into the Village Hall, which will house village offices, a conference room, a board room that will double as a community room and space for Will County sheriff’s police, who provide patrols in the village.
Village officials said Tria Architecture, which replaced Williams Architects in September, intends to finish plans for the remodeled building in December and seek construction bids in January. They said the Village Hall is likely to be completed by July.

Austrians are arming themselves at record rates in an effort to defend their households against feared attacks from Muslim invaders.
Tens of thousands of Muslim “refugees” have poured into Austria from Hungary and Slovenia in recent months on their way to Germany and Sweden, two wealthy European countries that have laid out the welcome mat for migrants. More than a million will end up in Germany alone by the end of this year, according to estimates from the German government.
Obtaining a working firearm and ammunition in Germany, Britain, Denmark and the Netherlands is practically impossible for the average citizen. Germany, for instance, requires a psychological evaluation, the purchase of liability insurance and verifiable compliance with strict firearms storage and safety rules. And self-defense is not even a valid reason to purchase a gun in these countries.
http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXSnm4H5DiU
The laws in Austria, while still strict, are a bit less overbearing.
A Czech TV report confirms that long guns – shotguns and rifles – have been flying off the shelves in Austria, and Austrians who haven’t already purchased a gun may not have a chance to get one for some time. They’re all sold out.
And those arming themselves are primarily women.
“If anyone wants to buy a long gun in Austria right now, too bad for them,” the Czech newscaster says. “All of them are currently sold out.”
He cites the Austrian news outlet Trioler Tageszeitung as the source of his report.
“We cannot complain about lack of demand,” Stephen Mayer, a gun merchant, told Trioler Tageszeitung.
It’s not just happening in Europe. Get your autographed copy of “Stop the Islamization of America” by Pamela Geller!
He claims the stock has been sold out for the last three weeks and that demand is being fueled by fears generated by social changes.
“People want to protect themselves,” Mayer said. “Nonetheless, the most common purchasers of arms are primarily Austrian women.”
They are also buying pepper sprays, which Mayer said are in big demand among those who can’t get a gun.
http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ma5AMOGHRc
Alan Gottlieb, executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, said he recently returned from a gun rights event in Europe, where he sensed a change in attitude toward firearms.
“I just returned from a gun rights meeting in Belgium, and I can attest that all over Europe people now want the means to defend themselves,” Gottlieb told WND. “Self-defense is no longer a dirty word. In countries like Austria, where it is still legal to own a firearm, gun sales are at record levels. I can tell you first-hand that people in Europe now wish they had a Second Amendment.”
More potential new customers are entering the market than ever before, according to the Czech report.
http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz5WLaFQqUk
Until the refugees started flooding Europe, it was mostly hunters and sport shooters who purchased firearms. Now, people are seeking weapons for self-defense because they are worried about their personal safety. Most have never used a gun before.
So-called “projectile weapons” are available in Austria under two classifications, C and D, which are rifles and shotguns. Every adult Austrian is legally able to apply for a weapons permit but must disclose to the government their reason for wanting to own a gun.
The Czech station cited an interview with a sociologist and an Austrian journalist, both of whom said the weapons purchases were based on unfounded fears about foreign migrants.
‘Something is very wrong here’
The Viennese sociologist, identified only as Mr. Gertler, said no such fears about migrants should ever be published by any Austrian news outlet.
A journalist named Wittinger said “something is very wrong here” if Austrians are buying guns to protect themselves against migrants.
“Shotguns will not, after all, solve any immediate problems, quite the contrary,” he said.
The Czech TV station then reported that Islamists are promising: “We will cut the heads off unbelieving dogs even in Europe.”
“Look forward to it, it’s coming soon!” the Czech newscaster said.
ISIS-trained jihadists are now returning as European citizens or they are trying to infiltrate as migrants. In one propaganda video an ISIS operative informs his comrades back home in Germany to slit the throats of unbelievers in Germany, Czech TV reports.
“Overall, the ministry of interior stated that Germany is in the cross-hairs of Islamic terrorists but that he does not have any indications of specific threats,” he said.
Bracing for another Islamic invasion
The Czech site reflects awareness of a major event in Western history, said Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America.
“Polish King John Sobieski defeated the Muslim invaders at the gates of Vienna in 1683. Another Muslim invasion is underway and Austrians are alarmed, hence their run on gun stores,” Pratt told WND. “Women are right to be concerned in view of the Muslim view of women that they are good for raping and little else.”
The Czech TV report cited the Arab Spring as the root cause for the flood of Muslim migrants into Europe.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqiwVYq6TDE
“More and more, the whole thing is turning into the situation that we will experience the much-touted Arab spring from very close up – right here at home,” the reporter said. “What’s more, many European are alienating large part of their own populace with unfortunate social and multicultural politics, merciless removal of children, unfair seizures and trading on traditional European values and with policies which are usually less friendly toward conservative and traditional native inhabitants and leans toward that portion of inhabitants who have little trouble with globalization and nonchalant liberalization, removal of traditions and Islamization. Yet we will not be able to rely on it, that portion of (population) once the Arab Spring comes here. And that will probably be, as they say, closing the barn after the cows are gone.”

Any Sellout Budget vote needs a consequence which is vote them out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Find Out How Your Congressman Voted on the Boehner-Obama Budget Deal

Despite overwhelming opposition from the majority of Republicans, the House of Representatives voted to pass a two-year budget deal today that raises spending caps by $80 billion and suspends the debt limit through March 2017.
The deal passed, 266-167, with support from moderate Republicans and all but one of the Democrats. Just 79 Republicans supported it, and all of those opposing the fiscal agreement were Republicans.

“Just in time for Halloween, this legislation is more trick than treat, with phantom savings and a truly terrifying $85 billion in new spending in the first three years,” Rep. Peter Roskam, R-Ill., said in a statement. “It was put together behind closed doors and once again puts today’s problems off until tomorrow.”

Outgoing House Speaker John Boehner announced the 144-page deal yesterday after spending weeks negotiating with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid in closed-door meetings.
In a letter released Wednesday, Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., criticized the process behind the deal, writing that the deal was “crafted in secret without the involvement of the vast majority of our conference.”
The plan accomplishes Boehner’s goal of “cleaning the barn” for his successor, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., who earned the speaker nomination from the Republican conference just hours before the vote on the budget deal.
Ryan announced this morning he would support the plan, but yesterday criticized the back-room deal-making that ultimately led to the budget deal.stock-photo-baby-boy-teenager-european-appearance-holds-a-brown-hair-and-wrinkled-bills-face-on-a-gray-321971678
“What I’ve heard from members over the last two weeks is a desire to wipe the slate clean, put in place a process that builds trust and start focusing on big ideas,” Ryan said in a statement.
Both Boehner, the outgoing speaker, and Ryan, the incoming speaker, voted to pass the plan.
The deal specifically increases the spending caps by $80 billion, split evenly between defense and nondefense spending. Congress passed the spending caps in 2011 through the Budget Control Act. Under the budget plan, spending will be increased by $50 billion in 2016 and by $30 billion in 2017.
Boehner’s budget deal also calls for $150 billion to be reallocated from the Social Security Trust Fund to the Disability Insurance Trust Fund and a 15 percent increase to Medicare Part B premiums.
“I hope the history that is written about this legislation is that it was a bipartisan first step toward securing the kind of long term agreement all of us know we must achieve,” House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said on the House floor today.stock-photo-baby-with-money-on-white-background-41419912
Though the budget deal passed with bipartisan support, conservative members strongly opposed both the substance of the plan and the nature in which it was crafted.
Specifically, conservatives pushed back on the suspension of the debt limit, which lawmakers feel gives the government unlimited borrowing authority. Additionally, conservatives in the House argued the fiscal plan was deliberately crafted in secret, shutting specific members out of the process.
The fiscal agreement faces an uncertain future in the Senate. Senate leaders plan to act on the agreement quickly, but a number of conservative senators have come out in opposition to the agreement. “Earlier this year, Republicans passed a budget that cut President Obama’s proposed spending by $7 trillion over the next decade and finally balanced, but this deal completely abandons that effort,” said Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., in a statement.  “Our long-term plan was traded for short-term gimmicks, trust fund raids, and even more spending. This deal isn’t compromise; it’s surrender.”stock-photo-closeup-of-a-medicare-enrollment-form-with-money-237872458
When the bill goes before the upper chamber, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said he plans to filibuster it.
“I will filibuster the new debt ceiling bill,” Paul said Tuesday. “It is horrible. It’s hard for me not to use profanity describing it.”

Illinois State Rifle Association EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

ISRA Thursday Bulletin – October 29, 2015

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

I know most Illinois citizens are upset with what is going on in Springfield so let me clear it up for you. Illinois is not the worst government in the United States – it is the Federal Government in Washington DC. Feel better now?
Hillary Clinton skated through the Benghazi Committee relatively unscathed. The only new revelation was that Ambassador Chris Stevens emailed requests for additional security more than 600 times. He probably should have requested a donation form for the Clinton Foundation; I bet he would have gotten a reply then.
In Israel we are seeing attacks on Israeli citizens. Eventually, I predict, this will come to the good old USA. These are termed “lone wolf attacks”. I think we should refer back to WWII and think about BBC broadcasts that used code words to activate various resistance units throughout Europe. We are much more sophisticated today, in a variety of ways. Now we use social media to instigate attacks when the attacker is ready. Just because they seem random doesn’t mean they are. What they are is unexpected. Since predictability is impossible, the only person who can stop them is the intended victim.
If you haven’t taken a concealed carry class you should, as soon as possible. Once you have your ICCL, you can then look into advanced handgun skill classes and a class that deals with the events that surround self-defense action. I would suggest Massad Ayoob’s MAG-40 class, which the ISRA Range will host on May 19-22, 2016. I also suggest that you get every member of your family a FOID card. It would be nice to have 2,000,000 FOID card holders before the spring legislative session.
Italy, like the United States, is facing wholesale prisoner releases. These are “non-violent” people, mostly drug dealers. They are just like the non-violent guy in New York (that was released because he only had 28 drug arrests) who shot a police officer to death last week. The Mayor of Piedmont, Italy, is so upset about these prison releases that he is giving citizens of his community up to 250 euros (about $275) to buy a gun to protect themselves and other citizens – my kind of mayor.

Iran never abandoned the plan to one day develop a nuclear weapon

Former Iranian President Reportedly Makes a Big Admission About Nuclear Program

Former Iran President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said in an interview with Iran’s state-run news outlet published this week that, while Iran initially aimed to use its nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, it “never abandoned” the plan to one day develop a nuclear weapon, an Iranian opposition group reported.
“Our basic doctrine was peaceful usage of the nuclear technology although we never abandoned the idea that, if one day we are threatened and it is imperative, we would have the capability for going the other path as well,” Rafsanjani said, according to a translation of the interview by the National Council of Resistance of Iran.

Rafsanjani’s interview with the official Iranian news agency IRNA was not published on IRNA’s English-language site.
The Times of Israel noted that Rafsanjani’s comments “would appear to mark the first time a top Iranian official — current or former — has said the country sought a nuclear weapon, in contravention of repeated assurances by the regime that its enrichment program is and always has been peaceful.”
In the translation posted by NCRI, the former president said that nuclear development began in the 1980s during the Iran-Iraq war.
“At the time that we started, we were at war and we were looking to have this capability for the day that our enemy would want to resort to the nuclear bomb,” Rafsanjani said.
He also described how he and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — today Iran’s supreme leader — sought to meet A.Q. Khan, the prominent scientist behind Pakistan’s atomic bomb development.
“It seemed that Mr. Abdul Qadeer Khan himself believed that the Islamic World should have the nuclear bomb. He believed in this and it was he who built Pakistan’s nuclear bomb although it took time to build the bomb. In any case, they agreed to help us a bit,” the translation of Rafsanjani’s remarks said.
Iranian leaders have insisted repeatedly that Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
