FAKE CHARITIES:  Following the Money of the Islamic Terrorists
A vast global network of private individuals, charities, institutions, banks, and even governments are funding the demise of Western civilization.  A great deal of this network that existed from the 1980’s through the Clinton administration was shut down in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, but under Barack Hussein Obama, the vigilance needed to maintain the pressure on the money sources has weakened considerably.  The result is that we are all in more danger today.  Mr. Obama is openly favorable to Islamic causes, and much evidence exists to support this assertion.
Of particular interest is the fact that Muslim charities have been, and continue to be, a source of money being laundered for terrorism.  Under Islamic law, every Muslim must fulfill “zakat,” which is a charitable tax.  Consider the following items which shed light on this:

The Dark Side of Zakat: Muslim “Charity” in Context :: Middle East Forum
Etymologically related to the notion of “purity,” zakat — paying a portion of one’s wealth to specifically designated recipients — is a way of purifying oneself, on par with prayers (see Koran 9:103).
The problem, however, has to do with who is eligible for this mandatory “charity.” Most schools of Muslim jurisprudence are agreed to eight possible categories of recipients — one of these being those fighting “in the path of Allah,” that is, jihadis, also known as “terrorists.”

Steven Emerson: Combating Radical Islam:
Defeating Jihadist Terrorism :: Middle East Quarterly
Using a technique first developed in the Middle East, these groups often provide American Muslims with much-needed social services such as education, nutrition, and health care so as to win over and manipulate them. This activity is usually justified by reference to the religious duty of paying zakat (the Islamic alms tax). This practice creates substantial good will and much social capital for those Islamist groups who choose to employ it as a cover for collecting monies destined for jihadist groups.
Emerson believes that the Islamist movement in the West continues to strengthen, in large part due to what he refers to as the “cultural jihad,” which provides a congenial environment in which Islamists can flourish. He cites survey data indicating that many Muslim communities in the West sympathize with aspects of the Islamist worldview. These cultural jihadists in turn give moral support to the terrorists.

Charitable Organizations and Terrorist Financing: –
A War on Terror Status-Check – The Washington Institute for Near East Policy
Among the various means of raising, laundering and transferring funds employed by terrorists, the use of charities and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) stands out for a variety of reasons. First, the fraud inherent in the abuse of charities, wherein monies donated to make the world a better place in fact fund death and destruction, is an egregious abuse of people’s trust and a distortion of the Islamic charitable obligation of zakat. Second, the humanitarian nature of most of these charities and service organizations places their offices and employees on the ground in conflict zones of particular interest to terrorist organizations without raising undue suspicion. Third, charities provide an outlet not only for raising significant amounts of money, but, even more critically, are ideal vehicles for laundering and transferring those and other funds. Fourth, charities not only serve as the perfect cover for terrorist operatives they employ, by sending the funds through recipient service organizations they offer simple and extremely secure means of laundering funds and shielding the ultimate end-users from scrutiny.

So we see that funding terrorism is BUILT INTO Islamic charitable giving as a tax paid by every Muslim.  And this is a major problem if we allow tens of thousands of more Muslims to be admitted to the USA, either as immigrants or as refugees.  Letting them in virtually guarantees that money they earn here will find its way into the pipeline destined for the jihadists who want to kill Americans !
All across America, Muslim Student Associations are also a major part of this problem.  These groups operate at more than 100 universities, as per the following report from 2010:

The Muslim Student Association’s Terror Problem | PJ Media
One national student group gearing up for the upcoming academic year is the Muslim Student Association (MSA). Founded in 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and operated as an arm of the Saudi-funded, Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Muslim World League, the MSA is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected Islamic institutions in the country. They have chapters at more than 100 universities and colleges.

But despite its apparent respectability and polished public presentation, the MSA has a dark side.

Since its inception, the MSA has chronically been a vehicle of extremism, hatred, and incitement to violence. Its chapters host a wide variety of extremist speakers and have repeatedly raised funds for Islamic groups that have later been closed by the U.S. government for funding terrorism. For this reason, the MSA was identified in 2004 as one of 27 Islamic charities and groups in the U.S. under investigation by the Senate Finance Committee for terrorist support.

As a result of the long-time institutional extremism, the MSAs have also proved to be a fertile recruiting ground for terrorist organizations, such that a 2007 report on Islamic radicalization published by the New York City Police Department identified the MSA as one of the key “radicalization incubators” for homegrown terrorists (p. 68). This dubious distinction is not without cause.

One of the darkest secrets of the MSA, certainly never advertised by the organization or mentioned in their publications, is a rather lengthy list of top MSA leaders who have been arrested and convicted on a wide array of terrorism charges, ranging from material support of terrorist groups to being actively involved in terrorist plots.

It is important to stress that these are not fringe figures in the MSA organization, but some of its top leaders. These include an MSA national president who was al-Qaeda’s top financier in the U.S., a chapter president who was one of al-Qaeda’s co-founders, and a former MSA faculty advisor who is currently the terrorist most wanted by the U.S. government. Other MSA leaders have been recently identified in several domestic and international terror plots, and some currently are facing terrorism charges.

CONCLUSION:  The Enemy Within
It is time that America comes to grip with the fact that multiculturalism is a massive failure.  Political correctness and false compassion are paving the way for the loss of our sovereign nation.  We are seeing the results of this failure:  Islamic terrorism attacks escalating on a global scale, funded by an ever-expanding base of laundered money from Islamic charities and other institutions.
Our enemies are reconstructing the Ottoman Empire, in the form of a global Caliphate.  We cannot expect our culture to survive intact if we continue to import Islamic individuals into America who have absolutely no intent to assimilate into our way of life.  America has contracepted and aborted so many of our future citizens, and thus contributed to the demographic imbalance that is driving mass migration in the world.  This is national suicide.
We cannot continue to accept the propaganda line that Islam is a religion of peace, when in fact, every bit of evidence we have points to the fact that Islam is actually a very craftily constructed political ideology bent on world domination.  Islam is not compatible with Western Civilization because via colonization, Islam plots to fundamentally transform the West into a society where Sharia Law will ultimately replace our form of constitutionally-based representative self-government.  We cannot permit this to happen.  We must reject, expose, and uproot dangerous Islamic influence in America or our culture will not survive another century.
Recent poll data confirm our assertions:

SHOCK POLL: 51% of US Muslims Want Sharia Law – 25% Okay With Violence Against Infidels – The Gateway Pundit

  • According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.” When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%).
  • Even more troubling, is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”
  • A full 25% of those polled agreed that “violence against Americans here in the United States can be justified as part of the global jihad.”

Yes indeed, this is a clash of civilizations, and with Western Christianity declining during the last five decades, the challenge before us is even more important.  While we must oppose the Islamization of the West, we also need to strengthen Christianity as well if we are to preserve the Judeo-Christian culture given to us by the Framers of the United States Constitution.
For more evidence, review the Related Reading section below, to further understand how well-funded the terrorist networks are by various institutions, banks, and even governments.  We are up against nothing less than a global conspiracy to overthrow Western Civilization.

The Israel Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority has located 163 organizations. The organization’s investigators are in contact with similar international organizations in the UN and the United States, and their list totals 352 organizations.

Britain’s Charity Commission announced Thursday that it froze bank accounts for Viva Palestina, an aid group which has delivered cash and supplies to Hamas officials in Gaza. In addition, the Commission, responsible for regulating charities in England and Wales, also replaced the group’s trustees with an interim manager.  Viva Palestina was founded by British Member of Parliament George Galloway in January 2009 and has led several humanitarian convoys into Gaza in support of the Hamas-led government. But it has never filed required financial disclosures, the Charity Commission statement said.

In the United States today, a person can donate money to a group that publicly transfers money to Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, and the donor can take a tax deduction for the gift.  “Viva Palestina raises money in the U.S. to give cash and trucks and other equipment to Hamas,” said U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman, D-CA. “They are still receiving contributions from American donors, and the contributions are tax deductible.”

An Internal Revenue Service audit recommends stripping a New York-based charity of its tax-exempt status after it served as a conduit for donations for a convoy that delivered cash and goods to Hamas officials in Gaza.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has conducted searches in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec as part of an investigation into a Muslim charity organization. Canadian federal auditors accuse the International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy (IRFAN-Canada) of sending nearly $15 million to Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization. On Tuesday, the Canadian government officially added the organization to its list of banned terrorist organizations.

“The purpose of creating the Holy Land Foundation was as a fundraising arm for Hamas,” U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis said at the 2009 sentencing hearing.  HLF had been one of the nation’s largest Muslim charities before being shut down in 2001.

A Saudi charity and Islamic propagation group whose foreign branches were designated as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist organization by the U.S. Treasury seems to have opened a new office in South Florida. The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report notes that the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has registered as a non-profit in Florida.  The IIRO has branches in Indonesia and the Philippines. Florida corporate records show that the new entity is headed by Adnan Khalil Basha, the group’s Saudi Arabian based Secretary-General, and that it is intended to be the IIRO’s American branch.  The IIRO previously operated in Falls Church, Virginia and was run by Sulaiman bin Ali Al-Ali, who has been described as a wealth and well-connected figure in Saudi Arabia. He also directly solicited donations from the Saudi royal family.

Phony domestic “charities” that funnel money to terrorist organizations may have been hobbled by law enforcement agencies cracking down on their activities — but they still can count on the unwavering support of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).

A federal jury on Monday found Arab Bank liable for knowingly supporting terrorism efforts connected to two dozen attacks in the Middle East, the first time a bank has ever been held liable in a civil suit under a broad anti-terrorism statute.  Arab Bank, a major Middle Eastern bank with $46 billion in assets, was accused of knowingly supporting specific terrorist acts in and around Israel during the second Palestinian uprising of the early 2000s.

A leading European bank faces trial in New York later this year after a federal judge found there is sufficient evidence it knew the funds were being used to support a Palestinian terrorist group.  U.S. District Judge Dora Irizarry denied French banking giant Credit Lyonnais SA’s motion for summary judgment last Thursday, saying “there is a genuine issue” about the bank’s behavior with the accounts in question.  The case has been brought by 200 plaintiffs killed or wounded in more than a dozen Hamas terrorist acts between 2002 and 2004. Credit Lyonnais allowed a Palestinian organization (CBSP) that claimed to be a charity to launder Hamas money used in attacks in Israel in which the plaintiffs and their relatives were victims.

At this point it appears that CBSP, an organization that supplies funds to 13 different Palestinian organizations with apparently clear links to Hamas, including Al-Mujama al-Islami-Gaza (the Islamic Center-Gaza); Al- Jam’iya al-Islamiya-Gaza (the Islamic Society-Gaza); Jam’iyat al-Salah al-Islamiya-Gaza (Al-Salah Islamic Association-Gaza); and the Jam’iyat al-Wafa al-Khiriya-Gaza (Al-Wafa Charitable Society-Gaza), decided to exert pressure on Credit Lyonnais.  Israel declared the CBSP a terrorist financing group in 1997 and the U.S. Treasury designated it a terrorist group in 2003. Also in 2003, the Australian government froze the CBSP’s assets along with the assets of six Hamas leaders.

Surprisingly, the CBSP is still a lawfully registered charity in France.  The Credit Lyonnais litigation is an example of how many banks – particularly those in the United Kingdom and Europe – appear to have failed to take financial oversight of their clients’ accounts seriously, or which have been prepared to flirt with the boundaries of legality in order to make money. Knowing the burden of proof in the UK and Europe is different from the United States, they allegedly continued to house suspicious accounts with seeming indifference to the on-the-ground consequences of their actions.

“I can’t tell you definitively how this will affect the calculus going forward,” Osen told the IPT. “I will say that over the years at least non-U.S. financial institutions have taken a very indifferent view of the consequences of violating U.S. criminal law. The British banks – Lloyds TSB and Standard Chartered – have entered into deferred prosecution agreements for laundering hundreds of millions of dollars for Iran. As a general proposition, the culture of these institutions is either to disregard US law or actively hold it in contempt.

Terrorists also fund their campaigns by more direct channels, specifically through the complacency of Western governments, and more specifically, through the United Nations. In 2002, the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) distributed $521.7 million to the Palestinian Authority. Most of this money did not make its way into the pockets of the Palestinian people, as the average Palestinian continued to live on one to two dollars a day. Rather, large portions of this money ended up in the pockets of the Palestinian leaders and their terrorist associates. While the Palestinian Arab refugees constitute 17% of worldwide refugees, they receive more than one third of the annual refugee funds allocated by the UN, with roughly 30% of this $350 million coming from the United States. The staff of UNRWA, the organization that oversees and facilitates the aid to Palestinians, is staffed by so many Hamas members that it is nicknamed the “Hamas Union.” In the UN refugee camps themselves, large amounts of weapons and bomb materials have been found, including facilities to create rockets that can reach major Israeli cities. These weapons have been constructed under the watchful eye of the UN, and with money given to the UN under the guise of aiding impoverished refugees.

The SAAR network consists of more than 100 Muslim think tanks, charities and companies, many of which are linked by overlapping boards of directors, shared offices and the circular movement of money, according to tax forms and federal investigators.  The network, named for Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Rajhi, the patriarch of the Saudi family that funded it, gives to charities, invests in companies and sponsors research, all with a goal of fostering the growth of Islam.  The SAAR Foundation officially dissolved in December 2000, and many of its functions were taken over by another group, Safa Trust, run by many of the same people.

Iran has transferred tens of millions of dollars for the reconstruction of the tunnel system that was destroyed by IDF during Operation Protective Edge.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has authorized a slew of benefits to keep the home fires burning for families of terrorists killed or injured during the “struggle against Israel” — the euphemism for terror attacks against Israeli citizens, be they civilians or soldiers, men, women or children.

In recent years, in spite of their links with organizations financing terrorism, the Muslim Association of Canada and the Arabian Muslim Association have received grants from the government of Alberta.
