Taking children to Christian worship assemblies violates their human rights, according to a United Nations committee.

The report by the UN “Committee on the Rights of the Child” expressed “concern” that kids in the U.K. are legally required to take part in a daily act of worship, which is “wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character.”
When is the UN going to get upset that Islamic children are taken to classes that teach them how to kill the infidel? NEVER of course!

CharismaNews reports:

The committee recommended that the government “repeal legal provisions for compulsory attendance at collective worship.” Its recommendations are not legally binding.

Parents can already withdraw their children from collective worship, but the committee wants children to be able to act independently of their parents.
Speaking to The Telegraph, David Burrowes said: “The collective act of worship is not an indoctrination exercise. It is recognizing and respecting the Christian heritage of the country and giving people an opportunity to reflect.”

The report also gave 150 other examples where they believe that Britain is violating the rights of children. It included the freedom of parents to reasonably chastise their children.
INSANITY AGAIN!
Conservative MP David Burrowes said the criticisms were “ludicrous” and said the government can “respectfully put those kinds of reports in the bin where they belong.”
Go Mr. Burrowes!

It is high time we left the United Nations that the left wants to secede more power, in fact all power, to the incompetent organization!

Herman Cain said so eloquently that “The federal government cannot micro-manage”.  That rings even more true for the United Nations! (..and the European Union!)
