stop sign, refugees signFrom stories of German citizens fleeing their country because of growing migrant populations to reports in the U.K. revealing that the definition of “child refugee” is up for interpretation, there’s evidence of growing populist resistance against government resettlement programs.
According to figures from German data crunchers, more than 1.5 million Germans have left their country over the past decade— 138,000 of them left in 2015 alone.
And while the data doesn’t provide specific reasons for the exodus, it’s worth noting that the number of Germans leaving the country has risen in unison with its government’s decision to increase the number of immigrants and refugees from war-torn Muslim nations.
Last year, Germany opened its doors to more than 1 million migrants to the dismay of about half of German citizens who say the new arrivals are destroying their way of life.
And the charges aren’t without merit. Daily headlines about Muslim migrants failing to understand— or rejecting outright— German cultural norms, demanding handouts and special treatment, refusing to work and disrespecting the religious beliefs of German natives abound.
And there’s evidence that  it’s not that the migrants are unable to understand cultural differences in Germany— it’s that they want the government-provided safety of Germany but the social structure of the nations they fled.
Just this month, a Syrian migrant told a German publication the following: “We refugees… do not want to live in the same country with you. You can, and I think you should, leave Germany. And please take Saxony and the Alternative for Germany (AfD) with you…. Why do you not go to another country? We are sick of you!”
There’s also the problem of a massive uptick in sexual assaults in the country following the arrival of the migrant masses.
The problems have gotten so bad that even some migrants want Germany to close its borders.
A major part of the problem is that government officials in Germany and other countries taking on huge numbers of migrants aren’t being honest about the demographic profile of the typical asylum seeker.
While politicians claim the migrants are mostly children, there’s plenty of evidence that a huge percentage are young men.
In fact, British citizens were shocked by a recent facial recognition analysis of incoming child migrants which revealed most to be men in their late teens and early 20s.
Not only does  this portray dishonesty on the part of pro-resettlement politicians but it also reveals a total lack of concern for citizen safety— after all, young, male and coming from a heavily Muslim country are three demographic traits shared by many terrorist who’ve attacked sites in Europe and the U.S.
Despite the growing refugee-related problems in Europe, U.S. Democrats are poised to continue pushing for increases in the number of refugees granted asylum over the next few years.
