LOCKPORT, IL – Lockport Township High School won the IHSA Class 3A Boys Wrestling team title on Saturday in Bloomington. It was the first wrestling team title in school history.
The Porters advanced to the final weekend of the state playoffs with seven other schools: Aurora (Marmion Academy), Lincoln-Way West, Wheeling, Hoffman Estates (Conant), Deerfield, Lombatd (Montini) and Oak Park-River Forest.
The school held a rally on Sunday to mark the wrestlers’ accomplishment.
