Lincoln-Way Mayors Endorse Candidates
for High School Board

New Lenox, IL.,  March 20, 2017– Only three of the 13 candidates running for Lincoln-Way High School District 210 School Board have received the endorsement of four mayors comprising nearly the entire district.
New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann, Manhattan Mayor James Doyle, Mokena Mayor Frank Fleischer and Frankfort Mayor Jim Holland are all endorsing Joe Kirkeeng, Aaron Janik and Joe Kosteck to be elected as school board members on Tuesday, April 4th.

Baldermann said his endorsement was based on the candidate’s goal of doing what is best not only for the students but also for taxpayers in the district.  “I’m happy to endorse these three candidates.  They are highly qualified and have the experience to lead the district at such a critical time. They each speak with independent voices yet have a common goal to protect the district’s reputation which is important to my residents in New Lenox.”

Holland supports these three candidates because he believes they will represent the people well.  “They all have experience and the capabilities to improve the educational experience for students and they will be responsible with taxpayer dollars.”

Kirkeeng, a New Lenox resident, holds an MBA and is a financial expert who was appointed to the district board in June of 2016.  Janik, who resides in Mokena, is an attorney and currently serves as vice president of Elementary School Dist. 159.  Kosteck is also an attorney and resident of Frankfort who was also appointed to the board last June.        Kirkeeng, Janik and Kosteck are promoting a vision to protect academic excellence, promote fiscal accountability and protect Dist. 210’s reputation.
