When students lay their heads down to sleep, they’ll be reminded of their
first year at Butler School.
Students have been making hand-printed pillowcases with their first-grade
teachers this week.

Each one carries a special message with their teacher’s name, such as:
“Now I lay me down to sleep, I’ll count these hands instead of sheep. I’ll
dream of how the year did pass in Mrs. Johnson’s first grade class.”
The pillowcases are embellished with the child’s handprint in a rainbow of
colors.

The end-of-the-year project is a long-standing tradition at the school.
