Trump bans transgenders from military

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday morning that he was banning transgenders from serving in any capacity in the U.S. military. The announcement came in a series of presidential tweets.

After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow……

….Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming…..

….victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you

The decision reverses the Obama-era policy announced by Secretary of Defense Ash Carter in 2015 and restores some sanity to the Department of Defense in two ways. It eliminates some of the social experimentation taking place in the military and removes a group of insane people from military service. Trump’s announcement comes on the heels of a U.S. Army decision to train female soldiers on how to accept transgender men with male body parts in their shower facilities.
A person who looks in the mirror and sees himself as a sex other than the one with which he was born is suffering from mental illness same as a skinny person who looks in the mirror and sees  herself as fat. Doctors treat anorexia as a mental illness. A person who is “gender confused” is equally mentally ill.
There is no such thing as transgender and no amount of surgeries will make a male into a female or a female into a male. That is biology and no matter what surgeries are undergone or what chemicals or hormones or taken, that fact will not change. The notion that males and females are equal or that one can become the other through thought, sheer will or surgery is an absurd fallacy that advances collectivism and perverts God’s will.
The military is not the place for social experimentation or people with mental illness. This may be Trump’s best move yet.
And it may be more than just a common-sense move. Axios is reporting that Trump officials are lauding it as a smart political move with election 2018 ramifications:

Quote from a Trump administration official: “This forces Democrats in Rust Belt states like Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, to take complete ownership of this issue. How will the blue collar voters in these states respond when senators up for re-election in 2018 like Debbie Stabenow are forced to make their opposition to this a key plank of their campaigns?”
