A token of appreciation
Homer 33C administrators serve up hotcakes to bus drivers, dispatchers and mechanics

After safely delivering nearly 3,700 students to school on Oct. 10, Homer 33C bus drivers, dispatchers and mechanics gathered at Young School for a special “Thank You” breakfast with the superintendent and administrative team.

“We can’t thank you enough for the work you do,” Superintendent Kara Coglianese told the group after preparing more than 200 hotcakes and turkey sausages for the district’s dedicated and reliable transportation department.

“We appreciate all you do,” she added, “so we wanted to serve you for a change.”

Joining her behind the serving line were Assistant Superintendent for Business Christi Tyler; Human Resources Director Michael Portwood, Technology Director Arlene Siefert; Buildings and Grounds Director Glen Wysong; Board of Education Vice President Elizabeth Hitzeman; Board of Education Secretary Karen DeFilippis; and Communications/Public Relations Manager Charla Brautigam.

“Thank you for all that you do for our children,” Hitzeman told the group.

“We are so blessed to have you,” added DeFilippis.
