“His silence continues to be deafening and telling.”
January 9, 2020 – Two Democrat members of Congress, Reps. Ro Khanna and Ilhan Omar, made outlandish statements insulting the memory of four American heroes killed in battle in Benghazi (Khanna) and American heroes suffering from trauma connected to their service as well as Americans more generally who’ve endured trauma that has left them coping with PTSD (Omar).
On an appearance on Fox News, Khanna claimed that during President Obama’s tenure, there were no American embassies attacked and no Americans killed. Watch:
That statement is an insult to the memories of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, information officer Sean Smith and Navy SEALs-turned-CIA-operatives Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, all of whom were killed in September 2012 by terrorists in Benghazi.
Rep. Ilhan Omar claimed that she is suffering from PTSD as a result of the public discussion of the military strike that took out Iranian terrorist general Qasem Soleimani. Watch:
As Rep. Jim Banks, a Navy Veteran pointed out, “It is an affront to our veterans of war who are struggling with PTSD from seeing their buddies die in the line of duty, and have otherwise put their lives on the line to protect Americans and freedom-seeking people around the world.”
Jeanne Ives, GOP congressional candidate (IL-06) said, “Being a leader means standing up when you should stand up, particularly for our men and women in the Armed Services. But Rep. Sean Casten, who previously called voting for a congressional resolution condemning anti-Semitism the most difficult vote he has taken, is always the last one to be heard from when reckless, incendiary statements are made by his fellow Democrat Socialists. His silence continues to be deafening and telling.”
