Chicago – January 20, 2020 – Total Living Network (TLN) will air the Chicagoland United in Prayer city-wide prayer event “Seeking Shalom in Chicago” LIVE on its cable television and streaming/internet platforms on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm CT. The theme for this year’s event is “Legacy of Love.”

Chicagoland United in Prayer (CUIP) is a collective effort of churches and networks across the city with a 2020 vision to start the year together in prayer, seeking God’s peace for Chicagoland and committing to action throughout the year toward this goal. This city-wide united prayer event is one way to practice and grow habits of unity and collaboration in Chicagoland.  CUIP is working closely with Together Chicago – a kindred non-profit organization that is dedicated to addressing issues of economic development, education, violence reduction, equal justice and faith community mobilization to provide opportunities to collaboratively work towards shalom (“peace”) in Chicagoland.

Diverse local pastors and leaders will faciliate the “Legacy of Love” event with a mass choir from many congregations leading worship.  TLN will produce the special for LIVE television and TLN’s President/CEO Debra Fraser will join Michael Allen of Together Chicago in interviewing Felicia Thompson from Northern Seminary, Phil Jackson of the Firehouse Commuity Art Center, Vance Henry from the Chicago Mayor’s office and Dr. John Fuder with Chicagoland United in Prayer.  More information and how to attend can be found at https://chiunitepray.com/winter-prayer.

TLN will broadcast “Chicagoland United in Prayer” on Sunday, January 26, 2020 on all of its Chicago-based platforms including XFINITY basic channel 138, ROKU, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV LIVE at 5:00pm CST. TLN can also be viewed on any computer, tablet, or smartphone at www.tln.com/watch-online. In addition, the special will be added to TLN’s YouTube channel “TotalLivingNetwork1” following the broadcast.

The Total Living Network launched as WCFC TV38 in 1976 with Mayor Richard J. Daley presiding as guest speaker at the McCormick Place dedication.
