Why can’t the Village of Homer Glen at least wait for a few months in order to provide the residents of Homer Glen some Public hearings on information on the proposed sports complex, especially since they won’t put it on a referendum.  I am not for it or against it because I have no real idea of the plans and how it will affect the citizens of the Village.

I was against the Village buying the water transmission line years ago mostly because a General Obligation bond which is backed by property tax was used. The first thing we need to know is if the Village of Homer Glen is going to do another General Obligation Bond.  If that is the case, I am against it because I do not want to chance a Village property Tax to build a sports complex.

We should expect like former Mayor Daily did on the water transmission line, there would be at least 2 public hearings.

We should know if there were any other bids or was this just given to the person, group, or Corporation that is planned to partner with the Village.

Knowing that other sports complexes like the one in Bridgeview failed, we certainly do not want the Village or Property Owners to be on the hook to pay if this happens here.

Asking for public hearings or a referendum is not much to ask of a representative government when it affects everyone in the Village.
