Trustees Gray, Backal, Caprio, Rodgers, Sweas voted to take a swipe against people who support the 2nd Amendment by voting yes to a proclamation against gun violence.
Trustee Pazmino stated why he could not support the proclamation as written. He suggested removing the word gun. Pazmino said the Proclamation should have been against any violence.
There is Domestic violence, bullying, cyber bulling, people killed with a hammer, bat, kneif, car, etc. The person using the gun is killing not the gun! Just as a person using any object to hurt or kill is responsible, not the object.
The 2nd Amendment has been under attack for many years. This Proclamation may seem harmless, but to any person that believes in Constitutional Rights it is offensive. Thank God at least Pazmino had the courage to stand up and say NO.
