‘Reveille’ is a new social media segment the campaign has launched. In this week’s segments, Jeanne addressed a number of issues related to the response to George Floyd’s murder, including suburban businesses boarding up and the consequences of the protests in Cook County vs. DuPage County .
IS CASTEN OK WITH VIOLENCE?
We agree, Congressman Casten, peaceful protests are a good thing. They are democracy in action. However, some have turned violent due to agitators outside the community. Businesses have been damaged, residents scared. Why are you silent on the violence, looting & destruction of property?
