Ives RNC Speech Transcript:

The 2020 Election is about Courage.

My name is Jeanne Ives. I am a West Point Graduate, a mother of five, a US Army veteran, a former state representative, and, now, a Candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 6th Congressional District.

This year, we were thrown into crisis. We have a choice to make:

We can elect leaders who are Hidin’ like Biden, who pretend that avoiding difficult situations and “canceling” everything they disagree with is progress…

Or we can elect those with courage to stand on the frontlines, offer solutions, and take the heat that comes with it.

In 2020, we have seen the Democrats’ worldview play out: Grow government power and put Americans on public aid, rather than opening up opportunities. Tear down statues to appease rioters. Board up businesses to prevent looting. Defund the Police. And – of course – refuse to debate so they don’t have to defend any of it.

This battle either ends in our total submission to an extreme ideology. Or in a bold display of courage and confidence in the goodness of American values.

We do not have to agree on everything. But there can be no disagreement about who is promoting radical ideology, corruption and instability in 2020: Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Democrats in my home state of Illinois like Sean Casten, Lori Lightfoot and Kim Foxx are synonymous with Chaos. They have destroyed a world class city and expect that you – across the nation – bail them out.

I have always stood on the frontlines against the Far-Left in Illinois and stood up for those I represent. In 2020, I am asking you to join me. Be courageous. Our future depends on it.
