Shorewood Village Trustee and Self-Employed Businessman Dan Anderson announced his run for election for Shorewood Village President.
Anderson stated, “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as Shorewood Village Trustee for the last several years. I have accomplished a lot but there is still much to be done for our growing Village. I hope that I have earned the trust and support of Shorewood residents during my service to our community. On the Village Board I have worked hard to insure high levels of service and have demanded such at the lowest costs to the taxpayer while fostering an environment that encourages business growth and job creation. While serving as Trustee I oversee the planning, purchasing and budgeting of our public works department. I proudly served as a volunteer member of the Troy Township Fire Department and served as treasure and president. I also serve as the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee for WESCOM (Western Will County Communications Center) that provides 9-1-1 response and dispatching services for twenty-one first responder agencies throughout Will County. I feel with my past experience with the Village of Shorewood and running my own business for 41 years I would be qualified to serve as Village President.
Anderson is a life-long resident of Shorewood along with his wife Kim and son Kyle.
