Chicago – May 3, 2021 – TLN to air LIVE events on the National Day of Prayer, May 6, 2021
In observance of the 70th anniversary of President Truman’s call to prayer, TLN will broadcast the National Day of Prayer event LIVE on May 6th from 7:00pm-9:00pm CT. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in Washington, D.C., this broadcast will include remote locations in different parts of the country. This year’s theme is LOVE, LIFE and LIBERTY. Kathy Branzell, President of the National Day of Prayer Task Force and Andrew Palau, son of international evangelist Luis Palau and author of The Secret Life of a Fool will host. Kathy and Andrew will be joined by Greg Laurie, Will Ford, Matt Lockett, T.D. Jakes, Tony Evans, Anne Graham Lotz, Jack Graham, Ronnie Floyd and more. Shane and Shane will provide music. For nearly 30 years, the Task Force has mobilized prayer groups to meet on the first Thursday of May to pray for our nation and the world. The first televised prayer event started with TLN in 1995. Earlier in the day, TLN will also air a LIVE broadcast of the 2021 Chicago Prayer Breakfast, themed RESTORE CHICAGO. Due to the COVID-19 virus, participants may join virtually on TLN at 7:30am or via YouTube (Total Living Network) or Facebook (TLN Chicagoland). Host Bob Schuldt, Senior Vice President with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management will be joined by guests Dr. Dwight A. Perry, Senior Vice President, Education and Provost, Moody Bible Institute and Dr. Hutz H. Hertzberg, President, Christian Heritage Academy.
