There is and has been for some time a propaganda war designed to marginalize and demonize the liberty movement and those who advocate for a government that is limited by the Constitution and rule of law. With the elevation of Chairman Joe Biden, that war has hit high gear. It is apparent that rational discussion about the role of government is no longer possible — in Washington or elsewhere.

It’s a sad day indeed when there is a necessity to ask whether our government feels it can label those who want freedom as purveyors of misinformation and disregard the Constitution and cancel and even kill us without due process; and when just asking questions gets you branded as an agent of falsehood, an extremist or, worse, a libertarian, a terrorist or a Patriot.

Oppose the USA PATRIOT Act — which effectively voids the 4th Amendment and gives Federal agents and police officers the authority to write their own search warrants and snoop on private conversations, which makes almost any crime an act of terrorism and restricts or denies Americans due process — and you’re a kook.

Oppose undeclared wars against countries that never attacked United States interests, or one against a country that was contained under United Nations sanctions, and you’re in the establishment crosshairs.

Oppose the Federal Reserve, a private entity owned by an unaccountable secret cabal that steals the wealth of Americans, creates fiat money willy-nilly, leads the nation into depression and makes wars on foreign soil possible — well that’s really put you under the microscope.

Believe the government is intrusive when it sticks its nose into the operation of private businesses and can shut them down, thereby denying personal liberty and freedom of association, and you’re “endangering people’s lives.”

Oppose government stimulus and bailouts of private corporations and try to reign in an out-of-control Congress — well, there are just no words to describe the kookiness in that idea. That’s rocking the boat and spoiling the party of the fascists in power. That’s why, liberty lovers, you are the establishment elite’s public enemy No. 1.

After all, to the establishment, loving freedom and the republic established by our wise Founding Fathers and outlined in the Constitution is just plain extremist!

Libertarian anti-federalists warned of the outcome we are now experiencing in their opposition to the adoption of the Constitution.

As Federal Farmer wrote, “Besides, to lay and collect internal taxes in this extensive country must require a great number of congressional ordinances, immediately operation upon the body of the people; these must continually interfere with the state laws and thereby produce disorder and general dissatisfaction till the one system of laws or the other, operating upon the same subjects, shall be abolished.”

State laws are being “abolished” left and right by the immoral, extraconstitutional entity called “federal government,” and the will of the people, personal liberty and common sense are being trampled upon because of it.

Of course, America is no longer a constitutional republic. It is a fascist oligarchy, as proven by “federal gun control,” “federal monetary stimulus,” — and every other overarching federal rule, control, law and restriction being proposed.

The more restrictions and limitations there are, the more impoverished men will be. The more rules and precepts are enforced, the more bandits and crooks will be produced. Hence, we have the words of the wise, the old sage, and perhaps the original Libertarian. Do you know who I mean?

In 500 or 600 BC, after having been a state administrator for years, he became exasperated and started his Journey to the West. Before he left what was then China, a guard stopped him, recognizing the old sage, and would not let him go until the sage shared some wisdom with him.

LaoZi proceeded to convey 5,000 characters of wisdom admonishing both state rule and humans interfering with other humans.

You know him as Lau Tzu, and his 81 verses (chapters) of libertarian “live and let live” philosophy became the Tao Te Ching. “Taoism/Daoism” was LaoZi’s legacy to the world almost 2,000 years before anyone would utter the words “libertarian,” or “anarchist.”

The Tao (The Way) is over 80 chapters of how leaving people free to make their own choices enriches society and is just.

His words were: “Through my non-action, men are spontaneously transformed. Through my quiescence, men spontaneously become tranquil. Through my non-interfering, men spontaneously increase their wealth.”

Libertarianism is really the only anti-authoritarian political movement that currently exists. That’s why the “authorities” will come for those who dare to stand up to oppressive government — liberty movement proponents, former Tea Party members, Ron Paul supporters, Bob Livingston conservative-libertarians, returning military veterans, those who fear coming martial law and are stockpiling food and gold. Some in government consider us to be terrorists.
